Refers to an overflow of wastewater on an internal (private) fixture such as a toilet, floor drain, or area drain. This overflow is caused by an excess amount of waste or storm water, or an obstruction on a sewer main or on the sewer lateral. This issue is commonly reported as dirty water or sewage flooding a lower level of the property.
